  • Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise in civil design, proven project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, and manage civil engineering projects including land development, infrastructure, transportation, and water resources.
  • Serve as primary client contact, ensuring strong communication, satisfaction, and long-term relationship building.
  • Direct and oversee project teams, delegating tasks and mentoring junior engineers and staff.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Prepare, review, engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risk, and resolve technical or scheduling challenges.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, presentations, and participation in client and industry meetings.
  • Provide leadership in quality assurance, safety, and continuous process improvement.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including at least 3–5 years in project management.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar).

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in land development, transportation, water/wastewater, stormwater, etc.
  • Strong client network and ability to contribute to business development.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and innovative engineering solutions.
  • Local agency and DSA knowledge.
  • Ability to mentor and lead staff.

  • Design Engineer - Civil

    Snipes-Dye Associates is seeking an experienced Design Engineer in the Civil Engineering field to be a part of our design team and work closely with staff in the preparation of grading plans, improvement plans, erosion control plans, legal plats, subdivision maps, parcel maps, topographic surveys and many other documents from the entitlement phase through record plans on various project types. The candidate shall have knowledge in preparation of stormwater and drainage studies. The selected candidate will work with a qualified design team, clients, and consultants in the preparation of detailed plans and reports for various projects. This is a “hands-on” design position.

    Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the Civil Engineering Field.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and previous use of AutoCAD Civil 2D and 3D is highly desirable
  • San Diego County experience is highly preferred.
  • California PE registration in progress, although not required at this time.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.

  • Project Manager/ CIVIL Engineer

    Snipes-Dye Associates is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Engineer in the Civil Engineering field to be a part of our design team and work closely with staff in the preparation of grading plans, improvement plans, erosion control plans, legal plats, subdivision maps, parcel maps, topographic surveys and many other documents from the entitlement phase through record plans on various project types. The candidate shall also be versed in preparation of SWQMP and drainage studies. The selected candidate will work with clients and consultants in the preparation of detailed plans and reports for various projects. This is a “hands-on” design and management position.

    Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years experience in the Civil Engineering Field.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • San Diego City and County experience is highly preferred.
  • DSA Experience with school projects is desirable.
  • Supervisory skills of design and staff.
  • California PE registration is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
